Position OverviewThe Regional Maintenance HVAC Technician is a key part of the company's success. This individual will work at multiple job sites and is expected to provide exceptional customer service and developing a rapport by being both knowledgeable and friendly. The individual should have strong technical and communication skills and be able to complete small to medium projects alone or with a team.
Skills And QualificationsProven proficiency in diagnosing and making repairs to residential-size heat pumps, air conditioners, gas furnaces, and packaged HVAC unitsPrevious apartment building maintenance experience preferredTech savvy and able to communicate via email and utilize online work order systemAbility to follow directions and to see tasks through to completionAverage written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to pass criminal background check and drug testHigh school diploma or equivalentEPA 608 Universal License requiredPrimary ResponsibilitiesGeneral apartment and building maintenance including but not limited to unit HVAC repairs, appliance installation and repairs, electrical and lighting repairs, plumbing repairs, preventative maintenance, snow removal, and other general maintenance tasks that may be requested.
Small to medium projects such as door and hardware replacements and kitchen and bath renovations. Professional interaction with residents, prospective residents, co-workers, and vendors. Works on-call, overtime, weekend, holiday, evening, and emergency work when required. Will perform other tasks requested by management. Physical RequirementsMust be able to lift 80 pounds, climb and work on ladders, work with arms raised over head, stand/walk for long periods of time, climb stairs, bend at waist and knees to lift boxes, appliances, furniture, shovel snow, etc. TransportationMust have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Position requires frequent in-town travel and occasional out-of-town travel. Pickup truck or van preferred.
