Job Description

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Responsible for analyzing, evaluating, and optimizing the company's organizational frameworks to ensure alignment with operational needs, industry best practices, and regulatory requirements. This role collaborates closely with HR, Employee Relations, Legal, and departmental leaders to develop and maintain efficient organizational structures, update job descriptions, and ensure compliance. As part of the Total Rewards team, the specialist plays a key role in supporting organizational design initiatives that enhance overall workforce effectiveness and competitiveness. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Conduct comprehensive evaluations of existing organizational structures and recommend modifications, including creation, alteration, or elimination of positions.

Research market trends and industry best practices related to organizational design and functional frameworks; identify disparities and propose strategic changes. Facilitate meetings with departmental leaders to assess operational needs and align organizational structures with business objectives. Develop, review, and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) related to organizational design, ensuring optimal span of control and risk mitigation. Collaborate with Employee Relations, HR, and Legal teams to ensure proposed structural changes are compliant with applicable laws and regulations. Maintain and update internal HR systems (e. g. , Workforce Now, OrgChart Now) to reflect current organizational structures accurately.

Conduct periodic audits of organizational charts and structures, recommending improvements for efficiency and effectiveness. Regularly update and distribute organizational charts and related documentation across departments. Assist in creating or revising job descriptions to reflect organizational changes, ensuring clarity and relevance. Support job classification and salary allocation processes based on structural analyses, promoting fairness and competitiveness. Manage special projects related to organizational design, ensuring timely and strategic delivery.

Must comply fully and consistently with all company policies and procedures, with local and federal laws as well as with the regulations applicable to our Industry, to maintain appropriate business and employment practices. May carry out other duties and responsibilities as assigned, according to the requirements of education and experience contained in this document. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources. Master’s degree is highly desirable. At least three (3) years of experience in HR analysis, organizational design, or related roles. Strong understanding of organizational design principles, workforce planning, and regulatory compliance.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills. "Proven experience may be replaced by previously established requirements. "Certifications / Licenses: N/AOther: Proficiency in HRIS systems (e. g. , Workforce Now, OrgChart Now) and MS Office Suite. Knowledge of healthcare insurance industry regulations is a plus.
