Job Description

We are looking for a ‘MEA Medical Manager’ for our global client operating in the pharmaceutical industry.Job Objective:The Medical Manager MEA is the internal expert cross-TA product portfolio in the region representing the company with our regional partners. Provides the medical voice and actions as the counterpart to commercial brand teams, is responsible for all medical education programs and patient/companion strategy.Accountable on the planning and implementation of the therapeutic area Integrated Strategic Planning and medical strategy/tactics; including RWE initiatives. Also liaise with the Medical Affairs Community at IC & Global as needed.Provides a scientific/medical strategic support to business, also participates in the operational provision of general medical affairs activities:Compliance reviewSales force trainingProvide medical input to internal stakeholders of our partnersSupport on medical information responses in the regionGeneration and approval of promotional, informational and educational materials in the regionMedical Excellence CapabilitiesIs a professional who serves as a key office based scientific resource for partners to provide support to KOLs, healthcare providers, patients, payers, and other important stakeholders in the ecosystem with a two-way interaction for timely, accurate and fair-balanced information sharing. Maintains disease management discussions with the proper stakeholders, optimizing understanding of our therapies for the right patient segments in a scientific context within the local health ecosystem in the region (MEA).Major Accountabilities:Identify and ensure execution of scientific initiatives including generation of medical RWE/HEOR/MAPEnsure local adaption and execution of strategy, priorities and tactical solutionsIdentifies and ensures execution of new innovative value initiativesThrough in-depth knowledge of local ecosystem identify key unmet needs and gapsTherapy area and product knowledge and expertiseFocused in strategic medical education and patient solution initiatives to narrow the treatment gapTo develop and maintain own professional expertise on therapeutic trends related to new and existing company solutions and act as an internal and external resource for this expertiseTo establish a network of (key) regional external experts for seeking their medical / scientific advice for the development of our solutions and learning from their expertise in specific therapeutic areasTo contribute to Expert Clinical Reports for local authority’s submissionsTo regularly train staff on the medical aspects and scientific data related to company solutions and therapeutic areasDevelopment of scientific CME programs and speaker bureau functionsScientific knowledge and exchangeKOL engagementStrategic AdvisorPatient solutionsNew DataProvision of Medical InformationPharmacovigilance – adverse event reportingCompliance and PharmacovigilanceQualifications and Educations Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in medicine or pharmacy,Master's Degree (preferred)Clinical ExperienceMinimum 2-year pharmaceutical industry or equivalent experienceAt least 2-year medical affairs experience, directing and leading teams.Professional National Certification updatedEnglish: Fluent (H-Reading Comprehension, H-conversation and H-writtenPreferred therapeutic area knowledge and experience /specializationMarket knowledge in health systems (large medical groups and integrated delivery networks) and accountable care organizations.Demonstrated knowledge in regional Health Care SystemsDemonstrated leadership skills in managing, developing, and influencing teamsDemonstrated excellence in written and verbal communicationsDemonstrated strength in business planning, tactical plan development and executionSkills:LeadershipChampioning ChangeCommunicationTeam player and coordinationInnovatorInfluencerScientific/medical knowledgeExcellent interpersonal skills, self-motivated, together with a deep eye for detailAble to operate with minimal supervision but know when to consult/inform a senior managerBusiness OrientedProblem Solving
