Enroute International Limited is looking for MechanicJob Description / ResponsibilityConduct daily, weekly, and monthly inspections for routine and preventative maintenance of IOM machinery and vehicles (CAT Excavators, CAT/Other Generators, CAT Rollers, CAT Dozer, Mahindra/Bajaj Three-wheeler TukTuk, Water Pumps, TAFE Tractors, Power trailers, Toyota/Mahindra SUV, etc., as required) at various locations. Submit inspection reports and checklists according to the prescribed schedule, including recommendations for necessary repairs or maintenance, and provide these to the supervisor.Conduct technical and mechanical evaluations of machinery in accordance with manuals, machine specifications, schematics, and diagnostic tools, and prepare reports for submission to the supervisor.Regularly submit the required materials list with technical specifications.Install, maintain, overhaul, service, and repair machinery and mechanical equipment per machine standards.Conduct routine maintenance on machinery, encompassing tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and belt inspections.Maintain a tidy and well-organized workspace to promote safety and operational efficiency.Keep a record of activities showing the progress of assigned tasksReplace generator or machine parts as needed for proper operationProvide prompt responses to service requests and resolve issues efficiently either remotely or on-site.Fix or replace faulty parts, reassemble, and test equipment for proper operation.Identify repair needs and create a materials list.Perform repair and maintenance of the electrical system for generator dynamosFacilitate routine maintenance and operations for alternative electrical power sourcesTroubleshoot machinery and mechanical or electrical equipment issuesTrack the usage of spare parts, record stock levels, maintain an inventory of all consumables, and submit requisitions for spare parts ahead of time.Provide weekly report to supervisorThe list and the quantitative volume of repairs and maintenance activities carried out during the week and its progress.The quantitative volume of materials and consumable items used within a week and a monthThe accumulative list of activities and its volume and progress since the staff started the work until the reporting period (monthly.The accumulative list and volume of materials and consumable items used for the repair and maintenance from the start of the work until the reporting period.The monthly report should include photographs documenting activities, ideally capturing images before, during, and after any work performed.Keep up to date with new products and technology.Assist with new installation when needed.Train end users on proper use and care of the equipment.Perform all other general electrical maintenance work.Perform such other related duties as may be assigned.Educational RequirementsDiploma in MechanicalDiploma in mechanical engineering with 3 years or,High School diploma with 5 yearsWith relevant field experience of at least Eight (8) years in repairing/fitting/overhauling Excavator generators, automobile, heavy machinery engine and maintenance.Experience RequirementsAt least 3 year(s)The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): NGO, Consulting Firms, Manpower RecruitmentAdditional RequirementsAt least 2 years of experience in installation, operation, repair and maintenance of diesel/petrol generators up to from 5kW to 200kW.Must have 2 years of experience of working with Perkins/ Cummins/ Caterpillar/ Honda/ Sakura Engines, Stamford alternators.Must have 2 years of experience in overhauling CAT excavators.Capable of troubleshooting all kinds of problems with generators individually without any guidance or supervision.Knowledge of spare parts and tools required for servicing and maintenance.Clear understanding and hands on experience on electrical troubleshooting and relay logic.Clear understanding of occupational safety.Ability to read and follow blueprints and rough drawings.Excellent problem-solving skillsAbility to travel extensively.Attention to detail and ability to perform multiple tasks simultaneously.Incumbents having technical/vocational training in maintenance with six (6) years of extensive experience in the relevant field will also be considered.Good communication skill, organizational and reporting skillsCompetencies:The incumbent is expected to demonstrate the following values and competencies:Values - all IOM staff members must abide by and demonstrate these three values:Inclusion and respect for diversity: respects and promotes individual and cultural differences;
