Studying and interpreting technical documents, such as technical drawings, schematics and diagrams required to complete tasks. Reading and confirming the parts list, interpret measurements and verify specifications. Determining availability of materials and tools. Assembling components and ensuring that all parts are fitted correctly. Diagnosing and troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and performing repairs. Performing preventive maintenance and reporting and resolving assembly line issues. Keeping the workspace clean. Adhering to health and safety requirements of the company and the industry. Conserving resources and supplies to facilitate minimum wasteSkills Required Exceptional hand-eye coordination and physical condition Ability to perform repetitive tasks while standing or sitting for extended periods Ability to use hand tools and machinery Ability to lift at least 23 kilograms Knowledge of industrial manufacturing quality control regulations Excellent eyesight, including depth perception and the ability to differentiate between colours At least 2 years previous experience in a similar Assembly role
