Mechanical Design EngineerCompany / Business OverviewGlobal Energy Transmission (GET, https://getcorp.com) developed and patented the distant in-flight wireless charging technology, which enables autonomous continuous drone parcel deliveries and many other drone-based services in the energy and utilities, construction, security, mapping and surveying, oil and gas, public safety, and agriculture sectors.GET was incorporated in the USA in April 2015 with HQ in Portland, OR. In March 2024, GET opened a Mexican subsidiary, GLOENERMEX, to scale up its manufacturing and R&D operations. Due to the scaling of operations, GET would like to hire a highly qualified and experienced Engineer to strengthen the engineering team. The Engineer will report to and work closely with the CEO/CTO of GET. The RolePrimary activities Modelling of airflow and heat dissipation/thermal processes inside working mechanism/gear/electronic componentsMechanical parts/tooling/constructions design for R&D needs and for commercial products manufacturingAnalysis and optimization of current mechanical solutions to improve them in terms of ease of assemblyDesigning hardware layout for the best performanceDeveloping design drawings/creating documentation for parts, constructions, electronics modules etc.Working in close collaboration with engineers and purchasing specialistsKey areas of work and main projects Electric motorsRobotic equipment/mechanical partsBattery assemblyTesting equipment for electronic modules (up to 15kW power level)Construction of high-power high Q-factor transceiversElectrical power converters with cooling systems3D printing for R&DCNC  The CandidateKey Qualifications and Experience3+ years overall experience in mechanical designExcellent knowledge of CAD systems (SolidWorks, Inventor or equivalent)At least 1 year experience in SolidWorks Flow Simulation or similar software packages (Autodesk, Ansys, etc.) in modelling airflow for complex mechanism and/or moving parts2D & 3D design, experience in designing cases, control elements, moving parts and mechanisms, reinforcement connectors, loading structuresGood skill of developing design drawings/documentationAbility to quickly estimate mechanical stresses & loadings of structural elements of constructions/cases/holdersExperience with manufacturing process development & optimizationEnglish - upper intermediateWill Be an Advantage:Experience of thermal processes modeling Experience of designing 19” enclosures for rack mounting, chassis for electronic modules, electromechanical systems and masts/towers up to 10 meters heightExperience in 3D printingKnowledge/experience with injection molding of plastic elementsKnowledge of suppliers for sourcing components, parts, internal and external elements which could affect product design Soft skillsGood communication skillsSelf-starter with curious spiritTeam player with proven ability to work independentlyCollaborate with cross-functional partnersAbility to work in a multicultural environment
