Mechanical Design Engineer

Are you ready to bring large-scale engineering ideas to life?JBT Marel is looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team in Helsingborg, where advanced industrial food processing equipment is designed, built, and tested under one roof. This is a hands-on engineering role where your designs don’t stay on a screen — they become real machines on the shop floor.You’ll be part of a collaborative team of around 35 engineers, working closely with production, testing, and suppliers. If you enjoy customer-specific design, technical problem-solving, and taking ownership of your projects, this is an environment where you can grow and make a tangible impact.What You’ll Be Doing Lead mechanical design activities for both small and large customer projects Design and adapt large-scale industrial machinery to customer requirements using 3D CAD Troubleshoot technical issues and respond to engineering questions from customers and suppliers Drive product improvements and contribute to R&D and innovation initiatives Collaborate closely with engineering, production, testing, and supplier teams Take ownership of project progress by proactively gathering information and coordinating internally Support continuous improvement across mechanical design standards and solutionsAbout YouYou’re a practical, solution-oriented engineer who enjoys seeing ideas turn into working equipment.
