Mechanical Design Engineer

You will be surrounded by dedicated colleagues who value teamwork, precision, and creativity in every step of the process.ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for the design and development of transmission and drivetrain components & solutions. This will include all development phases from conceptual design to end of production, and will require close collaboration with all parts of the organization, including but not limited to; Prototype, Testing, Procurement, Production, Quality, CAE and Homologation departments.You WillDesign mechanical systems & solutions with emphasis on performance and quality using a ‘first principles’ approachGenerate 3D models, assemblies and 2D drawings using Catia V6 / 3DExperienceDesign and facilitate tests to verify component function and that requirements are metCarry out data analysis to perform root cause analysis, promote reliability and improve performanceAssist in selecting and interacting with suppliers and technology providers to ensure quality and performance targets are metWork closely with the Prototype dept. during concept validation phaseProvide technical support leading to successful introduction of components and systems into and throughout production,Requirements4+ years of experience in engineering design for Automotive/Aerospace or similar industries.Deep understanding of rotating assembly design and behaviorAdvanced CAD capabilities (CATIA V5/V6 or 3DEXPERIENCE)Solid FEA knowledgeGD&T design and applicationDesign components for state-of-the-art manufacturing methodsMeritorious ExperienceWork experience from top tier automotive or motorsport industryVehicle NVH development knowledgeExperience in hydraulic circuit designPractical hands-on experience working with cars/racing or similar (either professional or hobby)Transmission development experienceMaterial science (material selection, heat treatment and surface treatments etc.)AvailabilityAccording to agreementFull time
