You will play a key role in designing and developing new products on a project-driven basis while supporting ongoing production and assembly operations.The Mechanical Design Engineer in Wallingford, Oxfordshire will be responsible for:Designing, developing, and supporting mechanical products to meet exacting quality standards.Assisting with new product development projects from concept to pre-production.Providing technical support to production, sales, and supply chain teams.Managing technical drawings, assembly documentation, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).Liaising with suppliers and assisting in prototype build and on-water product testing.Identifying and implementing product and production line improvements.Qualifications & ExperienceDegree-level education or equivalent, with at least five years’ experience as a Design Engineer.Advanced 3D CAD capability (preferably Siemens NX), including complex assemblies and technical drawings.Proven ability to solve engineering challenges with innovative design solutions.Experience in mechanical systems such as drivetrains and fabricated components (steel, aluminium, plastics).Understanding of moulded components, tooling, and laminate schedules.Familiarity with fluid or electrical systems advantageous.Marine industry experience beneficial but not essential.The successful Mechanical Design Engineer in Wallingford will demonstrate a proactive, “hands-on” approach to problem solving and a genuine desire to contribute to the continued development of high-quality, world-leading products.If you are an ambitious Mechanical Design Engineer based in Wallingford looking to take the next step in your career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment, this role offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact.
