We are approximately 1000 employees working across the globe supporting our customer’s requirements. Our products are sold across all our divisions Energy, Food & Water and Marine. BU GPHE Operations Development is a global organization that focuses on optimizing and enhancing Operations across multiple regions and countries through strategic initiatives and projects.As mechanical designer you will develop solutions for the Service business, Service centres and the factories located around the globe within the area of mechanical design and automation. In this role you will have contact with the service centres, factories, production support, suppliers, and R&D.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign and develop mechanical systems and machines, ensuring they meet project specifications and industry standards. Utilize automation skills to enhance the efficiency and functionality of mechanical designs. Manage and oversee technical projects, including planning, execution, and delivery within set timelines and budgets. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure integration of mechanical designs with other systems. Conduct testing and troubleshooting of mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance. Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications, project reports, and user manuals. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and advancements in mechanical design and automation. The position will be based in Lund, Sweden. As the scope of the role will be global, some travelling is to be expected (20-30 days per year).What You KnowThe ideal candidate for this role should have the following competencies:Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or a related field. Between 2-5 years of experience in mechanical design and automation. Proven experience in designing machines and managing technical projects. Proficiency in CAD software and other relevant design tools.
