We’re hiring an experienced engineering technologist who loves CAD structure, documentation discipline, BOM accuracy, and ERP integration (not conceptual design).This is an ownership role for a high performing technologist, who will be the backbone of engineering operations. It is not a junior technologist role, drafting role, or a support role for a P.Eng. You will own your domain independently, make critical decisions, and be responsible for the technical data that powers our entire production system.About Yama VansYama Vans builds high end off grid adventure vehicles, engineered and manufactured in Calgary. This role sits at the core of our engineering foundation - integrating CAD, documentation, and ERP systems to support scale and reliability.⸻Core ResponsibilitiesOwn CAD (Solidworks) → BOM → ERP integrationBuild and maintain accurate, complete, production ready BOMsCreate, clean, and structure CAD models and assemblies in SolidworksDeliver production ready drawings, documentation, and CNC filesMaintain strict version control and documentation disciplineEstablish and enforce naming conventions, taxonomy, and organizational standardsEnsure alignment of engineering data with Supply Chain, Production, and ServiceCommunicate and release engineering changes to productionDrive continuous improvement of existing designs⸻Who You AreYou’re a systems minded, execution driven mechanical professional who values precision, structure, and operational clarity. You don't consider yourself a visionary designer, but you enjoy being the person who keeps engineering data airtight and integrated with the rest of the business.
