Mechanical Engineer - Nodes

Welcome to PXGEOPXGEO is an innovative marine geophysical service provider combining the strengths of ocean bottom and towed streamer seismic data acquisition techniques to deliver seamless subsurface imaging for a sustainable future.What's the role?This role will be part of our Manta Technology team and will be instrumental in designing, developing, and optimizing mechanical systems for our advanced subsea nodes. These nodes are critical components in supporting today's high-performance data acquisition methods, where ultra-long endurance and reliability are the hallmarks of Manta's product line. Key responsibilities include:Design and analyze mechanical components for subsea nodes, ensuring robustness, reliability, and manufacturabilityCollaborate cross-functionally with electrical, software, and systems engineers to integrate mechanical designs into complete node systemsConduct simulations and testing to validate mechanical performance under extreme underwater conditionsSupport prototyping and field trials, including hands-on assembly and troubleshootingContribute to continuous improvement of node design for enhanced durability, ease of deployment, and cost-efficiencyHelp to facilitate and support the transition between design, manufacturing and supportDocument designs and processes in accordance with industry standards and internal quality systemsWho are we looking for?Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field3+ years of experience in mechanical design, preferably in marine, aerospace or automotiveExperience with SolidWorks and SolidWorks PDM and participation in the full product lifecycleFamiliarity with subsea systems, pressure vessels, risk analysis and design to cost, quality and for manufacturability is a plusStrong problem-solving skills and a collaborative mindsetFluent in both written and spoken English
