Engineers, designers, and operators work side by side to bring complex ideas into the physical world — fast, focused, and with intent.If you want to take ownership, build what others only talk about, and be part of a team that turns prototypes into reality — let’s build it.Location: Berlin · Start: Asap · Working model: On-site · Scope: Full-timeAufgabenMechanical Design & Development: Design and develop mechanical components and assemblies for humanoid systems — from chassis and drivetrain mechanisms to sensor mounts and protective enclosures.Optimization for Production: Optimize existing designs for series production, balancing product requirements, industrial design, user experience, and target cost goals.3D Modeling & CAD: Create detailed 3D models and assemblies using CAD software (e.g. Fusion 360, Autodesk Inventor).Prototyping & Testing: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to prototype, test, and validate mechanical systems for performance, safety, and durability.Analysis & Optimization: Conduct stress analysis, weight optimization, and reliability testing to refine performance and longevity.Systems Integration: Work closely with electrical and software engineers to ensure seamless integration across mechanical, electrical, and control systems.Documentation & Specifications: Maintain comprehensive design documentation — including drawings, part specifications, and BOMs — ensuring full traceability throughout the development process.QualifikationCompleted degree in mechanical engineering, robotics, electrical engineering, robotics or a related fieldAt least 5 years of experience working on robotics systems, mobile machinery or similar productsProven experience designing complex mechanical systems and solid knowledge of robot kinematics, mechanical and electrical components, and the integration of these components into a robotics systemStrong knowledge of manufacturing techniques to ensure manufacturability for mid and high volume manufacturingIdeally, you have already completed a full product lifecycle with another hardware product, and have a deep understanding of the design process, as well as a passion for getting hands-on building and troubleshooting prototypesExperience with relevant CAD programmes (particularly, Autodesk Fusion / Eagle)Proven experience working with suppliers and designing hardware products for manufacturingBenefitsRoom to Fail & Grow: We learn quickly, take responsibility and grow through real projects.
