Join Osmoflo and play a pivotal role in supporting the lifecycle of our rental water treatment assets across Australia and beyond.We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join our Adelaide-based Rentals team. This is a dynamic role where engineering meets operations — ideal for someone who enjoys variety, problem-solving and working closely with manufacturing, procurement, commissioning and site teams.About the RoleAs a Mechanical Engineer, you will coordinate and manage all facets of our rental equipment lifecycle. Your core focus will be ensuring that assets within the Adelaide Hub fleet are prepared, deployed, maintained and optimised to achieve maximum utilisation and performance.You’ll work across design, fabrication, procurement, commissioning and customer interface activities — playing a critical role in ensuring successful rental project delivery from mobilisation through to demobilisation.Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering & Asset ManagementConduct P&ID walkdowns and update drawings (AutoCAD)Maintain accurate engineering documentation (P&IDs, SLDs, schematics, drawing packs)Develop maintenance procedures and manage asset recordsPerform MTO (Material Take Off) activities from P&IDsEnsure rental yard layouts are maintained and updated (AutoCAD)Respond to equipment breakdowns and coordinate repairsProject Mobilisation & DeliverySupport tenders and provide technical input to Sales & ProposalsAssist with project planning, schedules and budgetsCoordinate fabrication, FAT, logistics and site installationManage mobilisation and demobilisation activitiesProvide technical support to Operations and site teamsEnsure compliance with design specifications, standards and contract requirementsFabrication & Procurement SupportWork hands-on with fabrication teams, guiding and supporting as neededLiaise with vendors and procurement to source compliant materialsVerify materials and equipment prior to installationIdentify cost-saving and lean manufacturing initiativesBudget & Commercial AwarenessMonitor project costs and assist with forecastingIdentify risks to budget and implement corrective actionsSupport reporting requirements for Rentals projectsCollaboration & Continuous ImprovementLiaise with internal and external stakeholdersSupport the Global Asset Manager – RentalsContribute to innovation and continuous improvement initiativesChampion QHSE standards across all activitiesAbout YouYou are an organised and solutions-focused Mechanical Engineer who enjoys balancing technical detail with operational coordination.Essential:Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical preferred; Electrical or Chemical considered)Minimum 2 years’ experience in mechanical/process/manufacturing environmentsWould suit a recently completed Graduate.Strong understanding of manufacturing and construction practicesProficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft OfficeExcellent communication and stakeholder management skillsStrong problem-solving ability and attention to detailDemonstrated commitment to safety and quality standardsDesirable:Experience in water treatmentTrade qualification (mechanical, electrical or chemical)Exposure to asset management systems (e.g MEX)BenefitsStaff Bonus & Incentive SchemeFunded training and development programsClear internal advancement and promotion pathwaysEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)Staff Referral ProgramRange of discounts via FLARE employee benefits programPermanent full-time role with a growing, purpose-driven organisationAt Osmoflo, we believe in the impact each individual can have in our success, creativity and culture.
