Veoneer is owned by AIP, is headquartered in the U.S., and has approximately 2,550 employees in 11 countries.What you'll do?Design, develop, and validate mechanical components and systems that support advanced safety technologiesCreate and optimize mechanical designs using CAD tools (CATIA)Uses PLM to manage data and workflows (eg. PTC Windchill)Apply GD&T and performs tolerance analysis to ensure manufacturability and reliabilityPropose test plan for design validationContribute to requirement definitions aligned with Veoneer, customer, and international standardsPrepare and maintain technical documentation including DFMEA, BOMs, and design reviewsCollaborate with manufacturing, HW, component and quality teams to ensure robust product performancePerform design/debug investigations and support development, maintenance, failure analysis, and resolution activitiesParticipate and/or Lead the Design Reviews of the ECUWhat you'll bring:Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field5+ years of engineering experience, preferably in the automotive industryExperience with PLM platformsStrong problem solving and hands-on debugging skills with a solid understanding of core engineering principles, fundamental circuit design, and analytical techniquesStrong communication skills required, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written formsCreativity in helping to drive technology into our companySelf-driven attitude and a proactive approach in completing tasksDesign experience in analog/digital electronic circuits for automotive applicationProficiency in CAD toolsFluent in EnglishExperience with the following tools: Catia V5, PTC Windchill, 3D printer (preferred, not mandatory)
