Egis’ long history of providing comprehensive engineering, consulting, and project management services makes it a trusted partner for regional governments, investors, and developers.SummaryJob DescriptionThe Mechanical Planner will be responsible for the comprehensive planning and preparation of assigned maintenance activities consisting of Mechanical, and Support-based tasks at the Nuclear Power Plant. Activities will involve developing detailed Maintenance Items with clearly defined scopes and resource needs (manpower, materials, tools, and equipment). This information will be essential for generating work orders and scheduling activities to maximize operational safety, efficiency, and asset protection.Key ResponsibilitiesPlan and prepare Maintenance Items for Mechanical and Support-based maintenance activities to ensure work is planned and managed for maximum safety, operability, and protection of plant assets, including work performed by Long-Term Maintenance Strategy (LTMS) contractors.Verify and review the Nuclear Power Plant’s Mechanical equipment, components, and determinants to ensure correct selection from the Master Equipment List and design drawings.Coordinate with Engineering (ENG), Maintenance (MNT), Procurement (PSC), vendors, schedulers, and other relevant stakeholders to optimize understanding and ensure accuracy of Maintenance Items.Review and construct, as needed, Mechanical and Support Preventive Maintenance (PM) and other recurring Maintenance Items to ensure configuration control.Oversee Mechanical work planners in the development, assembly, and review of Maintenance Items, including PM frequency, to ensure all requirements are met.Include the required parts and bills of materials for Maintenance Items; develop a Material Master for newly identified materials as needed.QualificationsBachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.Minimum 5 years of experience in maintenance planning at a nuclear power plant.Strong understanding of mechanical systems, maintenance strategies, and configuration control processes.Familiarity in maintenance management and scheduling software (e.g., CMMS/EAM).
