JO-2509-557110Mechanical Project EngineerNorth East Ireland - Cavan/Monaghan/Louth CommutablePermanent roleAttractive Salary And Benefits.Our client is seeking a mechanical project engineer to help input on exciting new mine development in the northeast.Role The Mechanical Project Engineer reports to the Mine Maintenance supervisor with responsibility for the design, procurement, installation and lead the maintenance of products and equipment supporting the continued and sustained development and improvement of the site.Duties Manages projects to ensure they are delivered in a safe, timely and cost-effective manner in agreement with the mine manager. Project manage all mine related projects. Develop project scopes, budgets, and timelines in collaboration with cross-functional teams.Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. Confer with Mine maintenance and facilities supervisor, project teams and maintenance department to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, provide technical information and implement sustaining actions. Lead and manage mechanical projects across mining and quarrying operations.Research and analyse design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications. Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications. Research, design, evaluate, procure, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles. Investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew. Ensures installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of machines and ensures equipment is installed and functioning according to specifications. Conduct research that tests and analyses the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems.
