The role involves bridging the gap between the design verification of finalized mechanical designs of material handling equipment (MHE) and their integration. The successful candidate will be responsible for design verification checks, vendor interactions, and managing the integration process of equipment. Additionally, you will handle RFP reviews, make decisions based on timeline, cost, and quality, and manage escalations to stakeholders.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with internal concept design team and external vendors to verify mechanical designs. Manage integration of material handling equipment with vendors. Review RFPs and make decisions based on schedule, cost, and quality. Handle escalations to stakeholders. QualificationsProject management expertise. Vendor management experience. Mechanical design knowledge of material handling equipment. Minimum of 5 years of experience in design engineering, automation, material handling, conveyor systems, and material flow. Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, industrial, electrical, or manufacturing preferred). Experience with upstream/downstream changes in systems engineering. Knowledge of adding capacity or retrofitting inbound areas for new equipment. Experience in designing new layouts or retrofitting equipment for line implementation or launches. Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract to Hire position based out of Atlanta, GA.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $55.00 - $65.00/hr.RequirementsEligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
