Mechanical Supervisor

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to oversee the installation, coordination, and quality of mechanical systems on mission-critical data centre projects. The successful candidate will ensure that all mechanical works are executed safely, efficiently, and in line with project specifications, programme requirements, and the high reliability standards expected in data-centre environments.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate mechanical trades, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure all works meet project milestones and installation quality requirements.Oversee installation of key data-centre mechanical systems, including CRAC/CRAH units, chilled water systems, heat-rejection equipment, pumps, pipework, ductwork, fuel systems, and associated controls.Monitor daily progress, identify risks and constraints, and implement corrective actions to keep works on schedule.Conduct regular inspections and review installation quality in line with specifications, drawings, and industry standards.Support the development of look-ahead schedules and resource planning with the site management and planning teams.Ensure all mechanical activities are completed in accordance with site safety rules, environmental guidelines, and permit-to-work procedures.Coordinate with electrical, commissioning, CSA, and other teams to resolve interface issues and maintain smooth workflow on site.Assist in verifying mechanical system testing, flushing, pressure testing, and commissioning readiness.Prepare and maintain detailed progress reports, site records, material logs, and technical documentation as required.Lead daily briefings, toolbox talks, and promote a culture of safety, quality, and right-first-time delivery.Skills & ExperienceMechanical trade qualification or relevant engineering degree/certification.Proven experience supervising mechanical installations on large-scale data-centre, pharmaceutical, industrial, or similar MEP-intensive projects.Strong understanding of mechanical building services, equipment installation practices, and commissioning processes.Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical documentation.Excellent coordination skills with a practical understanding of multi-discipline interfaces.Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities.Robust focus on safety, quality, productivity, and client expectations.Personal AttributesHighly organised with a proactive, solutions-focused mindset.Able to lead, motivate, and support site teams in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to high-performance standards.Professional, team-oriented, and adaptable to evolving project demands.
