Mechanical Engineer (HVAC) — Substation Project | VietnamStart: ASAP | Duration: 6–7 months | Contract - EU PassportWe’re seeking a Mechanical Engineer specialized in HVAC for an electrical substation project in Vietnam. The role covers detailed design review, site supervision, and commissioning support for ventilation, cooling, and pressurization systems.What you’ll doReview and optimize HVAC design for substation buildings/rooms (e.g., control room, battery room, switchgear, GIS, transformer bays).Calculate heat loads, air changes, filtration/pressurization needs; ensure equipment sizing and layouts meet project specs.Oversee installation, testing & commissioning; manage punch lists and as-builts.Ensure compliance with project standards and HSE requirements; coordinate with EPC, client, and vendors.Prepare technical reports, method statements, and O&M inputs.What you need5+ years’ HVAC experience with industrial/electrical substations or power/utility facilities.Strong with heat load calcs, ventilation strategies, and equipment selection.Comfortable on site: QA/QC, contractor supervision, and commissioning.Solid English, spoken and written.Availability to mobilize quickly to Vietnam.Nice to haveFamiliarity with hazardous area ventilation, battery rooms, fire/smoke interfaces, and noise control.Experience with international and local standards relevant to substations/HVAC.What we offerAccommodation and local transport covered.Competitive day rate/terms (DOE).Chance to lead critical scopes on a flagship project.ApplySend your CV
