They work as trusted partners, creating better solutions and experiences for their customers, communities, and colleaguesAbout The JobRole holder is responsible for ensuring that the plant equipment is well maintained at optimum cost and ensuring completion and quality of the execution of maintenance jobsWhat You'll Be DoingResponsible for the maintenance and well being of the relevant equipmentRecord some possible anomalies observed on the equipment during maintenance or inspection.Monitor the time requirements for each job and the optimal manpower and skills necessary for executing jobs.Supervise the trial of equipment after maintenance.Ensure that proper safety measures are being adhered to at all times by all personnel.Responsible for scheduled inspection of tools and tackles (including safety tools and tackles) and ensuring that these are in optimal condition of safe use.Responsible for recording of daily/shift job activities.Manage people working under him.Monitor job duration, cost and performance of crew.Recommend improvements for cost reductions.Respond to emergency repair needs.Work with the planning in the development of job planning.Ensure safe storage and disposal of replaced spares.Comply with EMS Mechanical Instrumentation activities.Ensure involvement in the implementation and maintenance of integrated management system in the Plant.Who You'll Be Working WithList of direct reports:NiLOther Reporting LinesSectional EngineerMechanical ManagerKey interfaces, stakeholders and relationships:Electrical techniciansProduction AssistantsInspectorsPatrollersWhat We Are Looking ForOND in mechanical engineering with 5 years hands-on experience in a process industryOther Degree Trade Test 1,2 or 3 - Mechanical, NABTEB, OND - Mechanical, City and Guild3/5 years experience in industrial processKnowledge of work and safety rules and regulationsKnowledge of relevant equipmentHands-on experience on the equipmentKnowledge of relevant softwareYour Lafarge ExperienceAt Lafarge, there is endless opportunity for you to play your part.
