Job Title: Mechatronics Engineer/Designer - IntermediateJob SummaryThe Mechatronics Designer/Engineer designs and supports electronic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems for Salford products, ensuring functionality and reliability. This role involves creating detailed designs, performing calculations, testing prototypes, and maintaining accurate documentation while collaborating across teams. The position also provides technical support and contributes to project planning to meet timelines and budget requirements.ResponsibilityPlan and and create mechanical, hydraulic, electronic designs for new and existing productsDevelop and execute testing processesPerform engineering calculations and document resultsParticipate in design reviews and provide inputMaintain documentation for systems and componentsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure system integrationAssist in troubleshooting and provide technical supportIdentify, analyze, and mitigate product design risksProduct verification and validation through lab and field testingOccasional travel to support product field testingSupporting cross-functional activities (purchasing, manufacturing, quality, publications, product support, etc.)Review, approve and release drawings, models and other documentationAcademic/Educational RequirementsDiploma or degree in Engineering program or related field  Required Skills/Experience2–5 years experience in mechanical/electronic/hydraulic systemsDiploma or Degree in Mechanical or Electrical EngineeringProficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, Automation Studio an asset)Strong problem-solving and organizational skillsEffective communication and adaptabilityPassionate about designing innovative, high performing and reliable machineryDemonstrated ability to work on a team across functions and culturesAble to work on multiple projects and bring to successful completion in a timely mannerMechanical aptitude, both in hands-on work and design capabilities.Background in agriculture, forestry, or heavy mobile machinery is a plus.What Linamar Has To OfferCompetitive Compensation Employee Benefits package includes but not limited to, Drug, Dental & Vision etc. Opportunities for career advancement.
