New Year, New Job!If you're a media-comms professional looking for an exciting new opportunity, we've got just the job for you.Reporting to the Director of Communications, the Media & Communications Officer will support our proactive media engagement and promotional strategy, be responsible for developing, organising and driving social media and digital content, and support the Dialogue’s events and stakeholder engagement program.This is a role for someone who is inspired to find creative ways to promote the work we do, share content and grow audience engagement working closely with our events, policy and partnership teams.You will have previous media experience, either as a journalist or as part of a comms team and will have a good understanding of the local media landscape. Working Monday to Friday, the role involves hybrid working and some out-of-office hours responsibilities.ResponsibilitiesWorking as part of a small team driving the Dialogue’s events, policy, media, digital and partner engagement, the Media & Comms Officer will:·      Assist in preparing collateral for the Dialogue’s external channels, including media releases, monthly newsletter and social channels. You will help with speech notes, briefings and presentation material for the CEO and Chairman.·      Support the Communications Director with daily media monitoring, identifying opportunities to promote the Dialogue brand, respond to media inquiries and engage with journalists as the organisation’s representative.·      Play a key role in providing content for the Dialogue’s social media channels and grow the organisation’s online engagement and digital strategy. ·      Work closely with internal teams on policy initiatives.·      Help promote a packed schedule of events across comms channels to reach a broad audience.Skills and experience ·      Minimum two years’ experience in a media or comms role·      Excellent written and oral communication skills·      Experience in corporate social media engagement·      Photography, video and graphic design skills and experience ·      Understanding of the local media landscape·      Ability to work in a small team environment ·      Project management experienceApplications Applications for this position are now welcome, with a preferred start date of February 2026.To apply for this role, please send a one-page cover letter and resumé to Belinda Wallis, Director, Communications Belinda@westernsydney.org.auIf you would like to know more about the role or our organisation, please reach out via email to Belinda@westernsydney.org.au.
