Job Description

We’re looking for a proactive and diligent journalist to help us cover the media side of the marketing industry. MediaCat UK provides information primarily for people who work within brands, platforms, media agencies, and media owners — but also for anyone else interested in media as a function of marketing. Specifically, we aim to produce content that celebrates and inspires innovation and creativity in media: news analyses, interesting research papers, campaign case studies, consumer/media trends and industry best practices.

We’re looking for a journalist with an interest in commercial media, who understands the dynamics of audience-focused trade journalism, and is allergic to hype and rigorous about facts. Experience of writing about the media and marketing industries would be beneficial, but it’s not a requirement for the job. Applicants must, however, have excellent written English. They must also have the right to live and work in the UK and be able to attend our central London office three days a week. This is a full-time role and the salary being offered is between £29,000 and £35,000, dependent upon experience.
