Are you passionate about developing cutting-edge software solutions in the medical technology field?We are looking for a Medical Device Software Engineer Cloud (AWS) to join our Engineering team in Zürich.In this role, you will act as a subject matter expert in medical device software, contributing to the development and evolution of a cloud-based data storage and analysis platform.You will be responsible for creating and maintaining comprehensive design documentation, performing software verification and validation in alignment with regulatory guidelines, and managing research and development projects. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Regulatory Affairs and Manufacturing, ensuring technical excellence and compliance throughout the product lifecycle.We’re seeking a self-motivated, detail-oriented professional with a proactive mindset, strong analytical capabilities, and excellent communication skills. This position is also a great opportunity for recent graduates in Computer Science or related fields to launch their career in a high-impact, regulated environment.Key ResponsibilitiesAct as the subject matter expert for medical device software.Develop and enhance features for a cloud-based data storage and analysis platform.Draft and implement change requests for software components within our production environment and throughout the product lifecycle, in coordination with regulatory and manufacturing teams.Create and maintain technical documentation for engineering aspects of active implantable medical device systems, in compliance with the company’s quality management system.Perform software verification and validation in accordance with Regulatory Affairs guidance.Provide technical support to the Regulatory and Quality Affairs teams.Ensure software development is compliant with IEC 62304 standards.Manage internal and external resources involved in software development projects.Key RequirementsProficient in software design, development, code review, and release processes.Experienced in cloud development environments and software release management.Familiarity with build servers and software testing platforms.Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities.Skilled in presenting complex technical information clearly and in compliance with regulatory standards.Able to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.Highly organized, reliable, and attentive to detail.Required EducationMaster’s degree (or equivalent) in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.This position is also open to recent graduates who meet the educational requirements and demonstrate strong motivation and foundational skills in software development and cloud technologies (e.g. AWS).Help shape the future of healthcare technology and join a team dedicated to improving lives through innovation!
