Make your mark for patients We are looking for a proactive Medical Lead RARE & Epilepsy - Mid Markets (MiM) Denmark who has a strong science background to join our dedicated mid-market medical ops team. This position can be based in one of the locations: Brussels, Breda, Bulle, Athens, and Copenhagen.About The RoleAs the Medical Lead within Mid-Market (MiM) area you are the point of contact for EU/ Global to mid-market and are the POC for Medical Leads regarding scientific expertise within Rare and Epilepsy for current indications and future indications . In this role you will partner closely with internal teams at local and regional level to develop a highly impactful Medical Affairs plan per Mid-Market, aiming for differentiation and acceleration of UCB’s medical capabilities and operational excellence in Rare and Epilepsy.Who you`ll work withAs Medical Lead Rare & Epilepsy you will work/partner with: Medical Leads (Rare & Epilepsy), Medical Excellence, and Evidence Generation Leads (local/regional) and Cross-functional teams. Regional/Global Medical Teams, Country Medical Lead. External experts, KOL, professional societies, payers, and patient advocacy groups.What you`ll doKey responsibility for medical & scientific guidance for medical teams, especially for the Medical Leads across Mid Markets, Medical Solution Leads and MSLsFoster a culture of Insights and best practice sharing across cluster. Cultivate collaborations aligned with Therapeutic Area objectives and supporting external stakeholders to drive patient valuePartner closely with the local Evidence Generation Lead to identify key partnership and RWE opportunitiesDemonstrate Medical leadership by exemplifying strong business acumen and its application into the medical planning processAccountable for the Medical plan as part of Mid Market’s cross-functional strategy, by translating science into value for patients and business, in collaboration with the cross functional team and aligned with the global/regional strategyScientific and medical expertise to internal teams ensuring high level of scientific & TA acumen across the organization, particularly to the medical teams; champions medical excellenceInterested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills: A medical degree (M.D.) or Ph.D., as well as in Life Sciences, Pharmacy etc.Substantial Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical industry, (5-8+ years in senior position) highly preferred in Rare or Epilepsy Therapeutic AreaStrong understanding of clinical development and study management, as well as real world evidence generation plans and practicesExcellent interpersonal and relationship building skills; establishes trust and partnership collaboration with Cross-functional leadership, regional & Global colleagues and externalStrong Strategic acumen, good business acumen and anticipation of industry trends; Ability to critically analyse complex dataDeadline for applications: 17th of NovemberAre you ready to ‘go beyond’ to create value and make your mark for patients?
