The ideal candidate will relish the opportunity to work collaboratively and cross-functionally as part of a local and global team.Your RoleThe Medical Manager will serve as both a scientific and strategic leader for the Dermatology business in Ireland.This is your opportunity to take ownership of the medical strategy for a dynamic therapeutic area, collaborate with world-class experts, and make a real difference for dermatology patients in Ireland. You will work within a small and supportive, high-performing team, with the autonomy to shape and execute strategic and tactical initiatives.The ideal candidate will combine scientific depth, commercial acumen, and excellent communication skills to deliver medical insight, support cross-functional activities, and ensure the highest standards of scientific integrity and compliance.Your ResponsibilitiesThe key responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:Medical Strategy and Scientific LeadershipDevelop and execute the medical affairs strategy for Ireland, aligned with global and local objectives.Offer expert medical input to brand plans and launch activities and analyse and share medical insights to guide strategic decision-making.Scientific EngagementAct as a key medical contact for scientific exchange with external stakeholders, including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), clinical investigators, and healthcare professionals.Conduct field-based, non-promotional scientific discussions to communicate relevant data and gather medical insights.Identify and collaborate with external experts for advisory boards, investigator-initiated studies (IIS), and education-al activities.Medical Information & Data CommunicationReview and approve promotional and non-promotional materials to ensure scientific accuracy and compliance with the IPHA Code of Practice and local regulations.Deliver scientific training and support for internal colleagues, including commercial, market access, and regulatory teams.Interpret and communicate emerging clinical data to internal and external audiences in a balanced and objective manner. Patient Support, Disease Awareness & AdvocacyInitiate and maintain patient support programmes and collaborate closely with advocacy groups to raise dermatology awareness.Educate HCPs to improve both diagnosis and care.Clinical & Evidence Generation SupportSupport local clinical research activities, including site identification, feasibility assessments, and investigator engagement.Contribute to post-marketing evidence generation plans, such as observational studies, real-world evidence (RWE) or health outcomes studies.Compliance & GovernanceEnsure all medical affairs activities comply with SOPs, the IPHA Code, and relevant regulations.Provide compliance leadership and advice to internal stakeholders, including the review and implementation of governance processes and SOPsPlease note: 60% time in-field locally, with occasional travel to European meetings.Your QualificationsTo succeed in this role, we imagine you have the following qualifications:Advanced scientific or medical degree (MD, PhD, PharmD).Significant pharmaceutical industry experience in medical affairs or related field role.Experience of developing and executing a comprehensive medical strategy.Dermatology expertise within Ireland is a significant advantage.In-depth knowledge of Irish/EU regulatory frameworks (IPHA Code, HPRA, GDPR).Proven ability to work credibly with healthcare leaders in peer-to-peer settings.Track record of successfully partnering with patient support programmes and advocacy groups.Familiarity with evidence generation, publications, and medical governance.Experience contributing to health technology appraisals and reimbursement negotiations.Matrix team collaboration at regional/global level.Unwavering commitment to ethical, compliant practice and delivering value to patients.This is an exciting opportunity to further develop your skills, take ownership and positively contribute to a dynamic pharmaceutical environment in Ireland.
