Part-Time Medical Office Administrator (Mississauga & North York)Job Type: Part-time Location: Mississauga, ON & North York, ON (flexibility to work in both locations is required)About the Role:We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Medical Office Administrator to join our healthcare team on a part-time basis. The ideal candidate will bring strong administrative and communication skills, with hands-on experience using Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems. This role is essential to ensuring our clinic operates efficiently and that our patients receive the highest quality of care and service.Key ResponsibilitiesSchedule and confirm patient appointments (in person and by phone) to ensure efficient use of clinic time and resources.Collect, verify, and update patient information accurately in the EMR system.Assist with insurance verification, billing, and payment processing in coordination with the accounting team.Handle incoming calls, voicemails, and emails professionally, ensuring courteous and timely responses.Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming reception and waiting area.Prepare, organize, and file medical and administrative documents as needed.Coordinate with clinical staff to ensure smooth patient flow and resolve scheduling conflicts.Support management with administrative reporting, inventory control, and ordering of supplies.Train, mentor, and supervise new administrative staff to ensure adherence to office protocols and high patient service standards.Perform other administrative duties as assigned by the clinic manager or physicians.QualificationsMinimum 6 months of work experience as a Medical Office Administrator using an EMR system (preferably OSCAR).Note: Time spent as a student, trainee, or new hire in training does not count toward the required experience.Full proficiency in English (verbal and written); proficiency in an additional language is an asset.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in using office equipment (computers, fax machines, printers, phone systems).Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical setting.Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and adherence to HIPAA regulations.Why Join UsSupportive and collaborative work environmentOpportunities for skill development and growth within the clinicBe part of a patient-focused, professional healthcare teamHow to Apply:Please submit your resume and a brief cover letter outlining your relevant experience and availability to sa.fa.ra@aol.comWe kindly ask that you do not contact our staff via LinkedIn or any other social media platforms regarding this position.We thank all applicants for their interest; however, only those selected for an interview will be contacted.
