Job descriptionWe are looking for a Medical Front Desk Clerk that is interested in working in a fast-paced Acute Care Clinic. This position would play the role of the first point of contact for all patients and will be assisting with various clinic responsibilities. This candidate will be well organized, punctual and take direction well. They will be detail oriented , able to multi-task with minimal supervision and be able to work as a team with other clinic staff.Medical Front Desk Duties and Responsibilities:* Check patients in and out in a timely manner* Ensure that all necessary documents are completed fully and correctly* Verify all personnel insurance and patient benefits* Keep record of insurance cards and identification related to the patient* Scan all necessary documents into patient's file* Collect appropriate payment before the visit* Ensures availability of treatment by collecting information from patient* Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, and updating personal information* Turn in all money collected to the clinic supervisor at the end of the day* Coordinate authorization forms with various employers seeking our services* Answer all incoming phone calls and direct to the appropriate contact* Schedule appointments for future or follow-up visits* Previous experience of one or more years in the medical field and/or office* Must be dependable and reliable* Work closely with staff to assure smooth flow and cut down on waiting time* Ability to interact with patients in a pleasant and professional manner* Must have the ability to establish confidence and trust with patients* Must be able to pass a Drug Screen and Background CheckJob Types: Full-time, Part-timeSalary: $12.00 - $15.00 per hourBenefits:Employee discountPaid sick timePaid time offHealthcare setting:Acute careClinicMedical specialties:Urgent CareSchedule:4x10Monday to FridayRotating weekendsAbility to commute/relocate:Columbus, GA 31909: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)Experience:Medical receptionist: 1 year (Preferred)Work Location: One location
