Job Summary:The Medical Officer will provide professional medical oversight and clinical services to patients at ChemHealth Diagnostic & Imaging Centre. The role involves conducting medical examinations, reviewing diagnostic results, interpreting reports, and ensuring accurate clinical documentation. The officer will also support patient counseling, collaborate with laboratory and imaging teams, and promote public awareness on preventive health and diagnostic services through educational engagement and professional representation of the center.Key Responsibilities:1. Clinical DutiesConduct detailed medical consultations, physical examinations, and patient evaluations.Review and interpret diagnostic test results (laboratory, radiology, and imaging reports) to assist in accurate diagnosis and management.Provide clear explanations to patients regarding their test results, diagnosis, and recommended next steps.Manage acute and chronic medical conditions within the scope of the center’s services.Document all clinical encounters, findings, and decisions in patient records accurately and promptly.2. Collaboration & CoordinationWork closely with laboratory scientists, radiographers, and sonographers to ensure seamless diagnostic and treatment processes.Provide clinical guidance to nursing and support staff as needed.Participate in multidisciplinary case reviews or discussions when required.3. Patient Care & Service ExcellenceEnsure all patients receive compassionate, professional, and confidential medical care.Promote preventive healthcare awareness and patient education through accessible communication and community engagement.Represent the organization professionally in health awareness initiatives, community outreach, and knowledge-sharing activities.Address patient concerns and complaints in a timely and professional manner.4. Administrative & Compliance ResponsibilitiesSupport the implementation of standard operating procedures (SOPs) and medical best practices.Ensure compliance with medical, ethical, and regulatory standards.Contribute to audits, quality assurance, and continuous improvement initiatives.Participate in staff training, health talks, and clinical meetings.Qualifications & Requirements:Bachelor of Medicine(MBBS) from a recognized institution.Valid license to practice from the Medical and Dental Council of Nigeria (MDCN).Minimum of 2 years post-NYSC clinical experience, preferably in a diagnostic, outpatient, or hospital setting.Strong knowledge of general medicine, clinical evaluation, and diagnostic interpretation.Excellent communication, interpersonal, and patient engagement skills.Interest in medical education, preventive health advocacy, or patient awareness initiatives is an advantage.Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems is an added advantage.Core Competencies:Clinical judgment and diagnostic accuracyEmpathy and patient-centered communicationPublic health awareness and educationProfessional ethics and confidentialityTeam collaboration and adaptability
