Litton Andrews (LA Medical Recruitment) providing a Total Medical/Healthcare Recruitment and Consultancy Service with the best staffing, practice and business solutions.Our client, a long standing and well-respected General Physician, is seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist/Secretary to join the team based at the Mater Private Hospital in South Brisbane. On offer is a permanent, full-time role, 40 hours per week. On Tuesdays, the external clinic ends at 7:00pm, to compensate for this, there is a late start on Wednesday. Otherwise, hours will be between 8:30am – 5:00pm.This small, close-knit team is excited for an experienced Medical Receptionist/Secretary to join the practice. A candidate who has previously used Genie software will be highly regarded as well as a willingness to learn the practice specific tasks.Key duties and responsibilities will include (but not be limited to):Welcoming patients and family members to the practice (5-8 patients per clinic)Managing incoming correspondence via phones and emails, responding to enquiries, requests and redirecting or escalating matters as appropriate in a timely mannerPreparing and running patient clinics, including scheduling and managing patient consultation appointments both face-to-face and via TelehealthProcessing and receipting of patient accounts, including Medicare, DVA and WorkCover QueenslandReviewing clinic transcriptions using AI LyrebirdLiaising with various specialists and their practices as well as hospital departmentsManaging patient information and scanning into electronic medical recordGeneral administrative and reception tasks as requiredIn addition to the key duties and responsibilities, Candidates must be able to demonstrate:Have at least 2 years previous experience in a similar position (ideally coming from another private specialist practice)Ability to work cooperatively within a small team but also autonomously (2 days per week) Ability to manage the schedule of a solo SpecialistA strong desire to provide a high level of service to the patients of the practiceImmaculate personal presentation An exemplary telephone manner and a compassionate demeanourMust be a team player with exceptional communication and interpersonal skillsDemonstrate you are proactive with strong time management and organisational skills along with the ability to prioritise your workload efficiently.
