About the roleThe position is a service focused position supporting the smooth operations and delivery of curriculum in the areas of Food Studies. Key responsibilities focus on stock control; safety; health and hygiene; teacher support; and hospitality. This is a part time 0. 4 FTE, ongoing positionThe working days follow a fortnightly cycle: Monday and Wednesday in the first week, and Tuesday and Wednesday in the second week. Skills and experienceTo be successful in this position you should demonstrate the following: Good organisational skills and familiarity with food handling regulations and other appropriate procedures.
Ability to prioritise a range of tasks and manage time effectivelyCapacity to communicate effectively with members of the school community including students, teachers and parents and the capacity to provide support and/or attendant care to students where necessary. Proven capacity to work effectively in the face of changing priorities and deadlinesCapacity to work cooperatively with a range of people including teachers, education support, students and parents, including the ability to work as part of a team. Demonstrated qualifications and skills to support the delivery of Food Technology subjects to a high standard.
A commitment to OH&S requirements, commitment to meeting quality standards, and the willingness to update their skills and knowledge on a regular basis.
