REQ10225 Senior Officer, Sourcing (Open)Position SummaryThe candidate is responsible for determining where goods and services may be obtained as well as appropriate selection mechanism in the best interest of Melco Resorts & Entertainment. The selection mechanism must address value for money principles and must be determined per commodity. Primary ResponsiblitiesAssist in verifying purchase requisitionsSource the correct products and services needed from the related vendorsEnsure accurate recording of purchasing information by performing data entry tasks associated with purchase requisitions (manual or computer generated) and orders. This includes the correction or cancellation of all orders and requisitions.
Analysing past purchasing history to anticipate trends in internal customer buying patterns. Document all relevant information and supplier responses in regard to product availability, specification and priceObtain samples when necessaryPrepare purchase orders for approval based on approved purchase requisitionsFollow up on purchase orders and expedite deliveryLiaise with Receiving and the Warehouse on all shorts, late deliveries and rejectionsWork with existing and potential new suppliers gathering necessary information and documentation for the purpose of participating in competitive bids and tenders in Supply Chain.
Proactively explore new sources of products and services by visiting trade shows and expositions of products and services relevant to what’s currently being procured through Centralized Supply Chain for the purpose of sustaining and supporting operations at Melco Resorts & Entertainment. Expand and manage alternative sources of products and services in order to achieve the goal of “best value for money” in strategic sourcing function. Perform analysis on prices for products and services to make sure they are in line with current market levels. Negotiate and manage prices for products and services on a continuous basis.
Provide market review on products and services when needed. Key Performance IndicatorsVisit at least two major industry trade shows/expositions per year. Perform analysis of assigned trade on prices for goods every monthTotal Cost SavingsQuality product / services that is sourced and based on user feedback and delivery accuracyQualificationsExperienceMinimum three years of work experience in a purchasing environment, preferably in hospitality industry, is required. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite of products is required. Experience with purchasing systems such as Micro-Fidelio or BSS is essential. Knowledge of basic legal contract terms and conditions is a plus.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of tender process is required. Knowledge of products/services related trade shows/expositions is a plus. Customer service experience in a service/call centre environment is helpful. Knowledge of Macau purchasing culture and market trend are required. People Management experience is preferred.
