Are you passionate about regional development and supporting Territory businesses?Chamber NT is seeking a proactive and community-minded Member Relations Officer to lead member engagement and workforce development across Katherine and the Big Rivers Region. We strive to create a workplace where our people feel supported, valued, and proud to contribute, because when our team thrives, so do our members.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESMembership Engagement & DevelopmentBuild strong relationships with existing members and engage non-member businesses.Promote Chamber NT membership and ensure high retention through proactive support.Identify opportunities for new services and refer members to specialist support.Represent Chamber NT at public events and prepare monthly activity reports.Events & CommunicationsCoordinate regional events, including Business at Sunset, Women in Business Lunches, and Export & Business Awards.Promote Chamber activities to drive member and community engagement.Governance & Committee SupportProvide secretariat support to the Katherine & Big Rivers Regional Committee.Prepare agendas, take minutes, and maintain governance alignment with Committee Chairs.Workforce Development & PALM Scheme CoordinationSupport NT employers engaged in the Pacific Australia Labour Mobility (PALM) scheme.Coordinate workforce data and deliver annual information sessions across regional centres.Ensure transparency and continuous improvement through regular reporting.What We’re Looking ForStrong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills.Experience in member/client-facing roles, event coordination, and governance support.Excellent communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and CRM/database systems.A proactive, adaptable, and detail-oriented approach to work.Qualifications & ExperienceBackground in marketing, communications, business development, or not-for-profit governance.NT Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel regionally and attend events outside standard hours.Strong knowledge of the Northern Territory business environment.WHY JOIN USAt Chamber NT, we live our values:Members FirstDo the Basics BetterShare SuccessThink Like a MemberIntegrity, Courage & RespectKnowledge & CollaborationSolutions for the Tyranny of DistanceJoin a team that’s making a real impact across the Territory.Contact Michelle Burgess at mburgess@localjobsnt.com.au or call 0417 865 330 for further details.
