Position: Membership Growth ExecutivePosition location: Rutland, Massachusetts (MA)Council website: https://hnescouting.org/APPLY NOWPosition OverviewScouting America Heart of New England Council is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven professional to serve as Membership Growth Executive. This role is responsible for driving significant growth in youth and adult membership, increasing participation in traditional Scouting programs, and expanding the number of Scouting units within our service area. Deliverable metrics of 15 units and 400 new youth recruited per year are required.ResponsibilitiesCollaborate with council staff to identify and engage underserved communities within the service areaWorks with staff and volunteers to identify potential charter partners in these communities to expand Scouting’s reach.Cultivates and maintains strong relationships with major charter partnersCollaborate with existing volunteer committees to develop unit structure, leadership roles, program planning, budgeting, and membership retention strategies; training opportunities for volunteers, and how they contribute to unit effectivenessFoster partnerships with school districts and other youth-serving organizations to grow membershipCultivate community support through engagement with business, government, and faith leaders to support the expansion of the programPromote participation in council fundraising efforts (e.g., product sales, Friends of Scouting)Support high-quality district-level programs to aid in onboarding and long-term membership retentionGoal of achieving a youth membership retention rate of 65% or higher annually, and a unit retention rate exceeding 90%Perform other duties as assignedEducationBachelor’s degree in business administration or a related field.QualificationsExperience: 2–4 years in sales relationship development, marketing, relationship management, or membership growth – RequiredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsSelf-motivated, organized, and goal-orientedPassion for youth development and the Scouting missionAny work-related experience resulting in acceptable proficiency levels in the above Minimum Qualifications is an acceptable substitute for the above-specified education and experience requirements.BenefitsMajor medical, dental, and vision insuranceLife and accidental death insuranceLong-term disability coverageRetirement savings planMileage and phone reimbursement for approved business expensesGenerous vacation policy and paid holidaysOngoing professional development opportunitiesSalary or Salary Range: $55,000-$60,000 Conditions of Employment: Must pass a criminal history background check.
