Job Description

MEPS Building Engineers is a NZ owned and operated small and friendly building services design office located in Grafton, Auckland.  Our business is the design and documentation of building services which include mechanical, electrical, hydraulic and aquatic engineering across a large variety of building types.   It is a challenging environment which requires high attention to detail and flexibility but provides opportunities for experiencing a variety of engineering challenges and scope to expand into different niches of the disciplines. We have a vacant position for an experienced mechanical design engineer with a start mid-late October.

 An attractive wage packet is on offer to suit the level of experience. We are looking for someone to grow into a Team leader/Principal Role as we grow and there are opportunities for buying into the Company available in future. Our normal working week is typically up to 40-45 hours. There is the option of flexible working hours as well as working from home for part of the time. Candidate must be experienced in the design of mechanical building services. A minimum of 8 years plus in a design office doing both HVAC and Hydraulic design work is considered essential. Candidate is preferred to have practicing knowledge/ experience in the use of Autodesk Revit (our engineers design and draw at the same time) and willing to learn more. Experience with Carrier Hourly Analysis Program or similar Heating and cooling calculations software. A good command of the English language both conversational and writing ability. Communicating technical aspects to a large range of parties is a key part of this role.
