Job Description

Welcome to Mercedes Benz Korea!We are looking for an Sales Area Manager who will act as a business manager to the dealers and work collaboratively with them on the development and implementation of the entire business strategies and all issues such as steering and advising necessary business solutions and processes at dealership. Work with the assigned dealerships to ensure that their monthly/yearly qualitative and quantitative sales objectives are met and other dealership goals are accomplished.

Lead day to day strategical dealer business for new and pre-owned vehicles including, but not limited to allocation, logistics, forecasting, marketing, training, customer satisfaction and program administration. Responsible for negotiation and finalization of the sales & marketing business agreement between MB Korea and dealerships, and be a representative to the dealers. Build and develop business strategies and objectivesShare and strengthen Mercedes-Benz’s core business strategies and its brand with dealers and assist them to establish the optimized mid to long term goalsEvaluate sales potential that dealer may plan to invest on the search of new opportunities in the marketEstablish sales objectives by creating a sales plan and target for responsible dealerships in support of national objectivesEvaluate and conduct performance review and steer dealers throughout the yearIntegrate market insights into MB Korea strategiesPrimary communication-hub between MB Korea and dealerships regarding all dealer business issues, and also conduct regular visits to responsible dealershipsChallenge, motivate, encourage, and provide constructive guidance to dealer general/sales managers and their team regarding all areas of operations and development plansCollaborate with other teams to develop dealer supportive actions and to propose customer-oriented product enhancements by integrating ideas from dealersEvaluate sales campaign effectiveness in the market and propose new initiativesOptimize and oversee the business for target achievementLead to achieve regional sales objectives by contributing sales information and recommendations to strategic plans and reviewsMaximize forecast and sales closing to market trend, stock availability, competition with market feedbackAnalyze and identify the strength and weakness of each responsible dealerships with building action plans and encouraging dealers to maximize the strengthLead dealer performance in quantitative & qualitative measuresContinuously monitor dealer performance in wholesale, retail sales, stock management, MB Financial Services penetration & retention, demo car status, and marketing budgetContinuously monitor dealer performance in Dealer Score Card, which includes Operational Excellence Scorecard, mystery shopping, training, sales funnel and Customer Satisfaction IndexSteer nationwide marketing strategy initiatives & dealer marketingPlan and implement marketing strategies and promotional campaigns at the dealership level in line with the nationwide marketing plans and objectivesExecute and measure marketing campaigns with sales activities and maintain effective communication between marketing team and dealershipsDrive and support nationwide marketing initiatives such as test drive event and Point of Sales (POS) marketing at dealershipMonitor and evaluate effectiveness of dealer marketing activities such as new car launch, customer test drives and customer relations management (CRM) activitiesComply with both internal and external regulations of Mercedes-Benz AGEnsure that dealerships are strictly following corporate guidelines and in line with Mercedes-Benz Standards of Business conductQualificationsEducation 4 years university graduatedMaster’s degree preferredExperiencesMin 5 years of experience in sales & service fieldBackground Experience in the automotive industry or related fields is advantageousSpecific knowledgeKnowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, allocation, analysis and performance evaluationStrong performance in driving initiatives and key performance indicators with outstanding leadership skillsExceptional communication and interpersonal abilitiesSound product knowledge and business understandingExcellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills, both Korean and English (verbal, written)Strong problem-solving-, adaptability skills and attention to detail
