As home to 5 sporting teams, we run our AFL men’s and women’s programs, VFL women’s and men’s programs, and a wheelchair football team. But we’re more than the game. To do this, we have strong commercial partnerships and innovate with non-traditional ventures, such as our Essendon Education Academy, so that we can deliver world class events, give back to our fans, run community programs and ultimately, strive toward our next premiership.About The RoleThe Merchandise Manager oversees the Club’s merchandise and licensing operations, driving overall strategy and planning for merchandise products, pricing, fulfilment and service. The Merchandise Manager will be responsible for managing and leveraging relationships with key stakeholders, including merchandise partner/s, AFL Licensees and the AFL Consumer Products team.The Merchandise Manager will use data driven insights to foster growth in sales and revenue from the merchandise function and be responsible for leading the merchandise team, driving efficiency and success in pursuit of the Club’s strategic objectives.Please note the Merchandise Coordinator is full time, 38 hours per week and will occasionally involve Saturday work.About YouLicensed consumer products experience, including product development and procurement Ability to prioritise tasks and manage staff in a dynamic and fast paced environmentStrong stakeholder relationship managementExceptional customer service skills and experience Experience in escalated customer complaints or incidents Highly developed written and verbal communication skillsIntermediate to advanced skills in Outlook and ExcelExperience using a POS application Current driver’s licence to travel to and from key stakeholder premises/meetingsCurrent Working with Children Check or ability to obtain one; andPermanent Residency in Australia, or appropriate visa to work permanently.The Perks Our work doesn’t always fit the 9 to 5.
