Job Title: Merchandiser Reporting to: Buying ManagerLocation: Oliver Brown Head Office/ Cornhill City of LondonHours of work: 09.00 - 18.00Salary: £35K AnnuallyStart Date: TBC Overview  Ensure product offering will fulfil market expectations and sales targets. To manage all stock in the business including forecasting, buying, markdown policy and disposal. Key Responsibilities:  -      Plan and develop the range in line with the brief given by the Buying Manger-      Ensure product offering fulfils sales expectations and that the range plan is communicated to Buying.-      Manage the planning, purchase and ranging of stock in line with the Range plan-      Work with the creative team to review development as part of the creative process-      Control the intake of stock in order to achieve planned stock levels, sales & margin and terminal stock targets-      Set sales and margin targets-      Along with the e-commerce team, produce a sales forecast and assortment plan-      Manage the e-commerce stock purchase, intake and margin-      Manage mark down strategy and terminal stock disposal for ecommerce within agreed margin targets-      Produce a WSSI report and ensure stock is traded commercially and restock opportunities are maximised-      Provide support to the Sales and e-commerce teams by managing inventory, order processing and deliveries to ensure that stock is handled effectively. Assist in managing the entire lifecycle of each product.-      Gather sell thru data and report on trends, issues and opportunities-      Decide the markdown timing & strategy by agreement with the Brand Manager-      Analyse performance of the season and present sales, purchase and margin data and propose lessons learnt.-      Monitor sales on a daily basis and ensure there is timely replenishment and stock swaps where appropriate.-      Any other duties as directed by the Buying Manager The successful Candidate will be able to demonstrate: -      Experience in Merchandising, with a track record of both trading, planning, margin control and stock disposal.-      Has established a Merchandising function with the right processes and tools.-      Strong admin skills with excellent attention to detail.-      Commercially sound, with excellent numeric and analytical skills and good at decision making.-      Ambitious, motivated by a challenging brief-      Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities. Should be able converse fluently and effectively.-      Assertive and professional attitude.-      Strong business and financial acumen coupled with an entrepreneurial attitude.-      Good creative and strategic mind with excellent problem-solving skills.-      Dedicated, hardworking and committed person willing to invest long term.-      Proficiency in Microsoft Office and industry-specific software.
