The Vestas Global Production Engineering Excellence department develops and maintains Manufacturing and Production Engineering strategies and principles within manufacturing technologies & tooling. In this role, you will have the unique opportunity to lead and implement the company's long-term manufacturing strategy and drive the transformation of the production processes towards a digitalized and industrialized future.

We are looking for a leader with extensive experience in industrial transformation, production engineering and manufacturing excellence who can create strategies to translate a vision into actions. ResponsibilitiesTake the lead and inspire the direction for the Production Engineering Excellence department’s many initiativesInspire the development and framework for managing manufacturing requirements within the value chain and training in business processes.

Lead the set up new levels of Industrialization in Vestas plants around the worldBe the Manufacturing representative in Business Processes where Manufacturing is a significant stakeholderIdentify, evaluate, propose and deploy industrial automation across Vestas production processesManage and lead close collaboration with key stakeholders, e. g. Production Engineering functions, factories, R&DCultivate a culture of excellence and forward-thinking by empowering teams to adopt technologies and embrace continuous improvement in every aspect of production. Leading a team of 10-20 people experts, mainly based between Denmark and India (Chennai).

Qualifications10+ years of relevant experience in manufacturing excellence, demonstrating a track record of optimizing production processes for both assembly manufacturing and the process industry to improve operational efficiency. Understanding of industrial automation technologies and their application within manufacturing environmentsKnowledge of IoT 4. 0 and 5. 0 principles, with the ability to leverage these technologies to enhance production capabilities and connectivity. Leadership experience in an international context with the ability to work across cultures and valuing and leveraging diversity. 5+ years of experience working in a matrix or global organizationDegree in Engineering or related technical fieldFluency in written and spoken English.
