Our OpportunityJoin us at Mercury as we work to deliver valuable data products that support smarter decisions across the business — all enabled by our modern, cloud-based Data Platform. Reporting into the Data & Analytics Delivery & Platform Lead, you'll step into a key role that connects business need with technical delivery. As a Senior Technical Business Analyst, you'll work closely with stakeholders across our Generation and Corporate business units to shape, define and design data-driven solutions. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives on discovery, clarity, and making real impact through data.
Document the logical design of intended Data & Analytics products; including current state, future state, and data flow diagrams. Design data models for upcoming products and define business rules to support delivery by our data engineering teams. Build strong, trusted relationships with stakeholders across Mercury, especially in the Generation and Corporate business area's. Work with data source owners and SMEs to understand Mercury's data assets and unlock their potential via our cloud-based Data Platform. Use your SQL skills to support data discovery, validation, and refinement. Challenge the status quo; bring your curiosity, experience, and improvement mindset to everything you do.
We Are Looking For5+ years' experience in a Business Analyst or Technical Business Analyst role, with at least 3 years in the Data & Analytics domain. Formal or industry-recognised training in Business Analysis or related disciplines. Hands-on experience using SQL to explore and analyse data. Strong documentation skills across data modelling, data flows, and business rules. A proactive communicator who builds great relationships and bridges technical and business perspectives.
