JOB SUMMARYTo steer MESI through the next phase of international growth, we are seeking a Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) to lead our global commercial efforts. This role is critical in scaling our sales and marketing capabilities, expanding our footprint in new and existing markets, and ensuring sustainable, profitable growth – building on our strong presence in the GP segment, while acting as a category challenger in the hospital space and driving further adoption in assisted care.

The CCO will report directly to the CEO and Company's Board and will be a key member of the executive team, responsible for overseeing the product marketing team with core focus on building and empowering high-performing sales teams across our own sales organizations, distribution markets, refining our go-to-market strategies, and ensuring that MESI delivers on its ambitious growth and impact targets. KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDrive Revenue and Market GrowthCommitting to achieve sustainable revenue growth across MESI’s direct subsidiaries in EU and distribution markets, with a clear focus on execution in line with strategic priorities and local healthcare system dynamics.

Set and deliver ambitious short-, mid-, and long-term revenue, cost, and profitability targets, in close collaboration with the CEO, Finance, and Market development teams. Lead and Develop the Global Commercial organizationLead, support, and develop companies’ sales organizations, sales operations and distribution markets team, ensuring they are equipped, empowered, and accountable to meet their goals. Design and implement scalable, structured sales processes tailored to different markets and categories, ensuring their consistent execution through regular performance tracking and coaching.

Lead and manage the Marketing team by aligning Product Marketing with commercial and launch strategies, driving data-driven campaigns tailored to healthcare segments, and strengthening MESI’s brand through consistent messaging, omnichannel engagement, and strategic event execution. Build strong team structures, implement succession planning for critical roles, and create a high-performing, motivated and diverse commercial workforce. Position MESI as the leader in Integrated Diagnostics and maximize category valueEstablish MESI as the market leader in the emerging Integrated Diagnostics category by driving adoption in primary care and expanding into hospital and assisted care segments.

Lead the systematic development of the Arterial Assessment market, focusing on reimbursement pathways, clinical validation, and integration into everyday primary care workflows. Build and execute a comprehensive global sales and commercial strategy, including segmentation, pricing, go-to-market models, and resource allocation by market potential. Market Development and Strategic PartnershipsIdentify and pursue opportunities in new regions or segments through business development, partnerships, and alliances. Build and maintain relationships with distributors, health systems, procurement bodies, and KOLs to support market access and expansion.

Cross-Functional Leadership and CollaborationCollaborate with R&D, Finance, Supply Chain and Operations to ensure smooth launch planning, demand forecasting, and go-to-market alignment. Provide input into product pipeline planning, including the development of business cases, value propositions, and target product profiles. Financial and Governance AccountabilityRegularly updates and reports to the CEO, Board, and Shareholders on performance and strategic direction. Ensure full compliance with MESI’s policies, certificates, codes of conduct, and data security protocols, particularly in regulated healthcare environments. IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILEWe are looking for a seasoned commercial leader with strong experience in the European healthcare and MedTech sectors.

The ideal candidate brings a proven track record of growing international sales, leading marketing teams, introducing new market categories, and building effective go-to-market strategies across direct and distribution channels. He or She combines strategic thinking with a hands-on approach, is driven by impact, and brings a deep understanding of the primary care, hospital, and assisted care markets. With a strong ethical foundation and collaborative mindset, He or She is passionate about improving healthcare through innovation and delivering value to both clinicians and patients.

MUST-HAVE QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & PERSONAL TRAITSProven experience in leading and transforming complex sales and marketing organizations at scale, with full P&L responsibility across key markets. This includes building and managing high-performing international teams – both direct and distributor-based – across major European healthcare markets (France, Germany, Spain, UK; Italy is a strong plus) in primary care, hospital, and assisted care settings. Experience in developing new market categories in MedTech or diagnostics is essential. Market access knowledge is a strong advantage. Strong understanding of digital marketing, omnichannel strategy, and commercial content creation tailored to B2B and B2C healthcare audiences.

Holds a life sciences degree (mandatory or a major plus), ideally complemented by a commercial qualification (e. g. MBA or similar). Must have experience in the medical device industry, specifically with solutions used in primary care, hospital settings and deep understanding of the needs of general practitioners, hospitals, and healthcare systems, with a focus on enabling earlier disease detection and better patient outcomes. Demonstrated ability to achieve sustained revenue, market share, and profit growth across different time horizons (short-, medium- and long-term), while navigating evolving healthcare systems.

Skilled at building relationships with external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, governments, KOLs, regulators, and reimbursement bodies. Able to represent MESI credibly in high-level discussions across markets. Clear, confident and people centric communicator who is authentic, and empathetic — capable of inspiring teams and building trust across diverse stakeholders. Fluent in English; additional fluency in German, French, or Spanish is highly desirable. Willingness and ability to travel regularly across Europe, with a base location ideally near a major international airport. Frequent travel to MESI HQ in Slovenia (Ljubljana) is expected.
