Job Description

Are you a people person with a passion for hospitality and a talent for leading a team? We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic Reception Supervisor to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of our reception area. In this key role, you'll be responsible for supervising the reception team, delivering a warm and professional welcome and farewell to our guests, and maintaining the highest standards of front desk service throughout your shift.

Front Office OperationsEnsuring the smooth operation of the reception deskSupervising and delegating work of receptionistsAssisting the Front Office Manager with daily duties when requestedWelcoming and acknowledging all guests in the reception and lobby area in a warm and friendly mannerDelivering excellent customer service to all guests at all timesInduction and training of all new staff to agreed standards and following the training planControlling the availability of rooms and balancing rooms types on a daily basisControlling and closing House Accounts on a daily basisDelivering training and assisting in the development of the front office teamCommunicating hotel and city services to guestsBalancing all financial records and reports at the end of each shift.

Communicating effectively with the accommodation manager and supervisors for the availability of clean inspected rooms and extra requirements for guestsCommunicating clearly with tour guides and organising group luggage to and from bedroomsTaking messages on behalf of the guests and ensuring delivery to the guests roomTaking messages on behalf of Managers and ensuring that messages are passed on with all the necessary detailsMaximising room revenue at peak times by offering best rates at low times and upselling rates where possibleEnsuring floats are balanced at the end of all shiftsCompleting corrections of bills when on shiftEnsuring all invoices are correct for posting with all relevant back up and liaising with the Accounts department on a daily basisPreparing rooming lists in conjunction with reservations teamCustomer ServiceLeading by example by providing an efficient and friendly service to guests at all timesTo follow the Mespil Hotel key standards at all timesTo provide a warm and friendly telephone service to guestsHandling guest complaints in a professional manner and to a 4 star standardTo maintain a positive, friendly attitude with both hotel guests and your colleaguesThe successful candidate will be required to have:
