We offer an exciting opportunity to join our dynamic commercial team, either at one of our office locations (Oslo, Berlin, St. Gallen) or remotely from within Europe. What we are looking forWe are looking for a Defence Account Executive to drive Meteomatics’ growth in the European defence sector. Your mission will be to develop relationships with ministries of defence, prime contractors, and systems integrators, helping them enhance operational capability through advanced meteorological solutions. The ideal candidate combines commercial savvy with domain credibility.

Military service experience is a plus, but we prioritise candidates who understand the defence sales cycle and can navigate complex stakeholder environments.

Your ResponsibilitiesExpand Meteomatics’ defence customer base in Europe, with an initial focus on Norway and nearby marketsDrive sales of Meteodrones, our EURO1k high resolution forecast model, and software/API solutions for mission-critical applicationsLead engagements with ministries of defence, prime contractors, and systems integrators to identify opportunities and close dealsBuild and maintain long-term, high-trust relationships with strategic stakeholders across military and defence industry ecosystemsPartner closely with internal teams (Meteodrone development, software, meteorology, and marketing) to shape our offerings and strategy, ensuring a strong market fit and scalable growthRepresent Meteomatics at key defence and weather technology events, conferences, and working groupsYour Qualifications And ExperienceWe welcome candidates from diverse experience levels, from early-career professionals with exposure to the defence ecosystem, to senior account leaders with deep domain expertise.

Key qualifications include: Proven success in enterprise sales or business development in defence or dual-use technology sectors (hardware and/or software)Understanding of public procurement, defence acquisition cycles, and contract vehicles (e. g. , RFPs, framework agreements)Strong network in defence establishments (MoDs, procurement offices, integrators) in at least one major European market, preferably in the Nordic regionCommercial acumen and stakeholder fluency are essential, military background is a plusEnglish fluency required; Norwegian and/or German are valuable assetsWillingness to travel across Europe (approx. 25–50%) Team player with the ability to work unsupervisedEU working permit essentialWhat We Offer: Hybrid work:
