Established in July 2014 and commencing operations later that year, the bank is privately owned by Nigerian citizens from diverse professional and ethnic backgrounds. Regent Microfinance Bank serves a fast-growing customer base including MSMEs, individuals, groups, and civil servants through loans and value-added services. With ongoing expansion, the bank has opened branches across several locations in Abuja.Key ResponsibilitiesSource, evaluate, and onboard potential clients for microcredit loans.Conduct credit appraisals and risk assessments of clients’ businesses and repayment capacity.Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all loan applications, approvals, and disbursements.Monitor loan utilization and follow up on repayments to ensure portfolio quality.Build and maintain strong client relationships to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.Collaborate with the credit and recovery teams to manage delinquent accounts.Prepare periodic reports on loan performance, client feedback, and portfolio trends.Promote the bank’s financial products and services to existing and potential clients.Requirements & QualificationsEducational Background: Minimum of OND/HND/B.Sc. in Finance, Banking, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.Experience: Minimum of 1–3 years of proven experience in microcredit, loan processing, or related roles (preferably in a Microfinance Bank or financial institution).Strong understanding of micro-lending principles, credit analysis, and risk management.Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.Good knowledge of local markets and communities.Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).Integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under minimal supervision.A valid driver’s license and ability to move within assigned areas (where applicable) is an added advantage.Preferred SkillsCustomer relationship managementSales and target orientationAnalytical and reporting skillsProblem-solving and decision-making abilityWhat We OfferCompetitive compensation and performance based incentives.Continuous learning and professional development opportunities.A supportive and innovative work environment.Opportunities for career growth within the bank.How to ApplyInterested and qualified candidates should submit their application or send their CV to recruitment@regentmfb.com with “Micro Credit Loan Officer” as the subject line.
