For one of our clients, a global pioneer in pharmaceuticals, we are currently looking for a Laboratory Technician in microbiological quality control. General Information: 📋Start date: 01.01.2026 Duration: 1 year with the possibility of extension Workplace: Kaiseraugst Workload: 75%Working hours: Standard during the day - flexible working hours as part of everyday laboratory workDepartment: QC Microbiology Kaiseraugst / BaselAbout the job: The “Microbiology Kaiseraugst” group is part of the Microbiology section within the “Quality Control for Commercial Drug Products” department in Kaiseraugst. The group consists of three teams. This includes the sterile testing laboratory, the endotoxin laboratory, and microbial identification. As a Laboratory Technician in the Microbial Identification team in pharmaceutical quality control, you will ensure reliable and efficient microbiological analysis for our manufacturing customers at the Basel and Kaiseraugst sites, thus ensuring the safety of products and thus the well-being of patients. You will be responsible for conducting and evaluating microbial identification using various methods such as microscopy or MALDI-TOF. Further areas of expertise may follow, depending on qualifications.Your Profile: Completed training in biology, microbiology, or a comparable field and 1-3 years of practical experience in a microbiological and GMP-regulated environmentWork precisely, independently, and responsibly, bring team spirit and flexibilityCommunicate fluently in German.Possess solid computer skills and impress with a structured, meticulous approach to their work.Tasks & responsibilities:Analytical and preparatory cross-group activities in the three laboratoriesGerm identification, sterility and endotoxinCarrying out MALDI-TOF analysis, subculturing of germs, sample receipt and recording of results in the LIMS system and paper documentationCarrying out environmental monitoring in the laboratory zoneGMP-compliant logging of work and resultsMust-Haves:Completed training in biology, microbiology or similar1-3 years of practical work experience in a microbiological environmentWork experience in a GMP environment Fluent written and spoken GermanClean, precise and independent way of workingResponsible, team-oriented and flexibleGood PC skillsSounds interesting?
