Role: Senior Field Application EngineerLocation: Munich, GermanyTech/Sales split: 80/20Join a leading company in the power electronics industry as a Senior Field Application Engineer for Central Europe. This role is based in Munich and offers a unique blend of technical challenge, customer interaction, and professional growth. What You’ll DoAs a Senior FAE, you’ll play a pivotal role in expanding market penetration and delivering exceptional technical support. Your responsibilities will include: Support with customers to provide expert design advice and application solutions. Analyse and debug customer designs, offering tailored recommendations for performance enhancements.

Develop bespoke designs and hardware to meet specific customer needs. Conduct workshops and training sessions for customers, distributors, and industry partners. Support the regional sales team to secure new design wins and drive revenue growth. Travel approximately 20% of the time to provide on-site technical assistance and build relationships. Your ExpertiseTo succeed in this role, you’ll need a combination of technical acumen, customer focus, and innovative thinking. Key competencies include: Critical: Recent, hands-on experience in designing high-voltage power supplies and motor drives, specifically up to 750V DC input.

Expertise in designing high-voltage transformers and AC/DC SMPS (Switch-Mode Power Supplies) for low-power industrial and consumer applications. Strong communication skills for cultivating lasting client relationships. Ability to multitask and prioritise in a dynamic environment. Detail-oriented approach with a passion for delivering customer satisfaction. What You BringBachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering (BSEE) or higher (Master’s degree preferred). At least 5 years of experience designing high-voltage SMPS, with recent, practical involvement in HV designs (85VAC to 750VDC input). Background in HV/LV motor drive inverters (high-voltage/low-voltage) is a plus. Strong teamwork, interpersonal abilities, and commercial awareness.

Fluency in English (German is an advantage). Valid driving license and willingness to travel.
