Qualifications & skills required: PhD in the relevant area of discipline with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience at college/ university level or equivalent experience, or a Master’s degree in a relevant area with 10 years of teaching experience at college/university level. Lead in upholding the teaching and learning philosophy of the college and develop teaching and learning strategies. Promote, support, and celebrate the best and distinctive teaching and learning practices.
Plan and develop teaching and learning activities in the college. Engage in the research of continuous learning and the identification and dissemination of innovative learning and teaching practices. Champion institutional research in teaching and learning. Collaborate with Assistant Dean - Academic Affairs in the formulation of strategic documents, policies, and procedures, including regulations in teaching and learning. Identify and disseminate good teaching and learning, and student support practices. Liaise with Heads of Academic Departments to ensure teaching and learning guidelines are interpreted and implemented properly. Benchmark teaching and learning standards with peer organizations. Promote technology-based teaching and learning strategies.
Convene Teaching and learning events and promote communities of Teaching and Learning. Prepare, execute, and achieve the Departmental Operational Plan aligned to institutional goals and KPIs. Achieve departmental KPIs. Head the Programme approval events with partner institutesOther duties as assigned from time to time within the scope of the job role.
