Middle Office Specialist – Asset Management📍 Brussels, Belgium | 🕓 Full-time – Permanent ContractAbout the CompanyOur client is a leading European asset management company serving institutional clients across several countries. The firm is known for its commitment to responsible investment and operational excellence.Your RoleAs a Middle Office Specialist, you will support the middle office team in their day-to-day activities and play a key role in maintaining smooth operational processes with both internal departments and external service providers.You will report directly to the Head of Middle Office.Main ResponsibilitiesFollow up on various operational requests and coordinate with internal departments and external providers.Provide day-to-day support to the middle office team, including:Assistance in due diligence processes with distributors.Contribution to oversight activities.Managing the invoice payment process (funds and management company).Monitoring the implementation of risk constraints.Supporting the reconciliation process.Maintain open and continuous communication with all stakeholders to enhance operational efficiency.Participate in special and transversal projects as assigned by management.Your ProfileMust-haves:Master’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.2 to 5 years of relevant experience in a middle office environment within the asset management industry.Strong understanding of investment products, market instruments, and operational processes.Proven experience in project management (functional analysis, testing, and implementation).Fluency in French and English, both written and spoken.Solid knowledge of STP flows, SWIFT messaging (ISO15022 / ISO20022), and experience with PMS systems such as Sophis.Affinity with IT systems or software tools is considered an asset.What We ValueExperience working in a deadline-driven environment.High degree of autonomy, accuracy, and attention to detail.Proactive, flexible, and pragmatic approach with a “can-do” mindset.Strong analytical and change management skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Team player capable of building effective working relationships with multiple internal and external stakeholders.
