Title: Change Management and Communications SpecialistLocation: Reston, VA (3 days on-site)Duration: 6 months (possibility of extension)Job Description: We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Digital Communications & Change Enablement Specialist to support organizational change initiatives through clear, engaging, and user-friendly communications. This role will be responsible for crafting end-user messaging, designing intuitive SharePoint sites, and producing simple, effective instructional videos to guide users through new tools, processes, and systems. Key Responsibilities: End-User Communications: Draft and distribute clear, concise, and engaging communications for system changes, updates, and training. Tailor messaging for different audiences and communication channels (email, intranet, newsletters, etc. ).
Collaborate with project teams to ensure timely and accurate messaging. Change Management Support: Assist in the development and execution of change management strategies and plans. Support stakeholder engagement, readiness assessments, and feedback collection. Help create training materials and user guides aligned with change initiatives. SharePoint Design & Management: Design and maintain SharePoint sites to support project collaboration and information sharing. Ensure sites are user-friendly, visually appealing, and aligned with branding guidelines. Manage content updates and permissions as needed. Instructional Video Creation: Create short, easy-to-follow instructional videos and screen recordings for end-user training.
Use tools like Camtasia, Snagit, or Microsoft Stream to produce and edit content. Ensure videos are accessible and meet internal quality standards. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Information Technology, Instructional Design, or related field. 2+ years of experience in communications, change management, or digital content creation. Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, especially SharePoint and Teams. Experience with video editing toolsStrong writing, editing, and visual communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with Prosci or other change management methodologies. Experience with graphic design tools (e. g. , Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
